This is an authentic replica of the Book of Mormon as it appeared when originally printed in 1830, featuring the same size, original type, thick leather covers and genuine hand-crafted Smyth-sewn binding as the original. Then the artist has antiqued an aged the book so that it looks like an original would look today.

The Porter Rockwell collection brings history to life. Legend tells that Orrin Porter Rockwell carried an 1830 First Edition Book of Mormon that Joseph Smith gave him. It is said that this book saved his life by stopping a bullet.
Porter carried many guns, but one of his favorite guns was an 1851 Colt revolver.
